"Parties", no matter what type, are the key to your success in this business. Listed below are different ways you can "party" to grow your network which will help you gain higher PRV and give you more opportunities to offer the opportunity to others. People get weird about the word party- but don't let that stop you. Consistency is key when asking. Work on filling up your calendar with as many types of parties as you can! You've got this - remember that keeping your calendar full of parties & events will keep your business consistently growing.
Facebook Live Parties
Your Host or you can gather friends and family online. There are so many virtual platforms that you can use. Facebook is my personal favorite but online parties are not exclusive to Facebook. Sqweee, Zoom and Messenger Rooms are other great options. You can also just do personal shopping links that can be shared with people via text, email or messenger.
(Scroll to bottom of page to see some examples of these type of parties)
Bag (or Basket) Parties
Have a busy host? No worries. You can offer them a bag party. Simply put some testers, catalogs, order forms and a product for them to sample in a bag. Your host can take the basket to work, school, the gym, church, sporting events...anywhere they go and share the contents and collect orders so they can earn rewards. ProTip: Give all your hosts one (home party hosts too) and encourage them to collect outside orders. Note, highly recommend that if you don't know the host well to do a bag party agreement and take credit card info so you don't have a bag bandit.
*A copy of a Basket Bandit Agreement is available on the team app.
Catalog Parties
This is a mini version of a bag party. Simply put together packets with some mini testers, order forms, a catalog, samples of non-wax products (if you have them) and instructions. Your host takes it to work, school, where ever - and collects orders to be redeemed on PAY DAY. Encourage your host to collect as many as she can and offer a little gift if she books any parties from those wanting more than their budget can handle.
Socials
Think of this as a virtual version of a traditional home party. Your host can send e-vites to her guests. When her guests RSVP, you can send them their own Party Pack with felt samples (lighter and cheaper to mail) & samples of non-wax products, a Showcase Brochure/catalog/product list along with the Party Link for the host. Combine this with a online demo of the products and the guests have all they need to make an excellent decision for their purchase.
Your Host or you can gather friends and family online in a private group for the FB party. Instead of having a set day & time for an event (like a LIVE), this party can be done as several posts over 30 minutes or 2 weeks. Facebook is my personal favorite simply because there are so many resources for it. There are FB groups with basic party posts done for you (just edit them to make them more YOU). You can schedule posts to leave yourself available to engage/comment with the host & guests. I also use a paid program that allows me to schedule to my groups and business page using my templates (which can be shared with a team). It's called Vizzlie (see video below).
Your host picks a date, and invites family and friends. You set up a simple party display and share a little bit about the products and encourage them to sniff the fragrance testers and view the catalog. Have fun with it and keep it simple.
Want to make your party a hit? Remember this formula: 10-7-2-1
At least 10 guests in attendance
At least 7 guests place orders
At least 2 guests book their own party
At least 1, maybe your host, interested in starting their own Scentsy business.
Open houses are super fun & low pressure. This will probably be my first type of non-virtual event post-pandemic. I loved the relaxed way my customers could come shop - even if you don't have stock, smelling the testers and looking at products you use in your home is powerful. Have fun with it. Put on some coffee, make
some yummy baked goods or have a mimosa bar and brunch... but its a great way to connect with customers and gather orders. Create the cozy. You can expand your customers by asking your guests to bring a friend or two!
This is a great way to expand your network. You don't have to spend a lot of money on these. Often times, the smaller events, get the biggest return for my investment. You can find local events in your area via the Google, FB, Community Calendars. You also do not need to have a lot of stock. Use your host rewards to build up stock - but if you are just getting started - take your kit, your testers, and order forms!
This is another great way to grow your network and ties right into our company motto of, "Give more than you take." When you do a fundraiser, you agree to donate part of your commissions to the organization or charitable cause. I've done a handful of Fundraisers over the years. I LOVE doing these for many reasons!!! All the contacts you will gain, you will be able to turn them in to VIP customers, future host or even teammates.
